We recently hosted our fourth Pitch Night (thank you to all who came!) where we got to hear pitches from our current startup programs members about the movements they’ve been working on.
These founders embody what it looks like to live into the fullness of who they are, take risks for the sake of the common good, and build movements that disrupt our cities and world for the better. Their movements are compelling and their dreams give us hope. We couldn’t be more excited to share these founder’s stories with you and invite you to be a part of their work!
Founder: Jenna Tourje
The Movement: Sequoia Collective convenes business, church, and city leaders to work together to solve systemic problems and build relationships that advance the common good.
The Dream: To live in a world where communities are connected and even the city’s most vulnerable are flourishing
How can you help: $40,000 in Vision Funding, connections with common good oriented organizations that want deeper engagement in the places they do business. Get in touch with Jenna!
Founder: Devon Johnson
The Movement: A compilation of “in the midst” moments. Whilst focuses around what it means to live in the midst of the process and engage with transition.
The Dream: To live in a world where people are fully engaged in their stories and encourage others to live into the process.
Founder: Saren Stiegel
The Movement: Training programs to ensure every woman and girl has the resources to access her world-changing potential and lead the way for her community.
The Dream: To live in a world where barriers are removed and individuals are living into their full potential.
While the night was centered around the founders in the Launch Program, we also heard from a few other founders doing awesome things. Kalee and Elisha from our startups team, interviewed a few members from our other startup programs to share more about their experiences and give updates about what they are up to.
Carli joined is currently in our Pilot Program where she is in the early stages of exploring her idea. You can follow along with her on [Instagram] 9https://www.instagram.com/love.among.us/).
It was so great to share and celebrate so many amazing people all using their unique gifts, talents, and passions to advance the common good.
Do you have an idea or a movement you’re working on to advance the common good? We’d love to hear about it and support you as you build and grow.
Jenna, Devon and Saren have just completed our Launch Program – and we’re currently taking applications for our fifth batch of participants starting August 15th. This 20-week hyper-local (Costa Mesa, CA based) program helps founders of early-stage movements apply key startup principles to build a comprehensive business model for their product, service, or program alongside like-minded founders. Learn more about the program, apply, or schedule a coffee date to talk to us about it on the Launch page!
If you’re not local to Orange County, we just launched our online Pilot Program to help anyone, anywhere turn their dream into their dream job. If you want to know exactly what steps to take to launch, test, and build your idea on your own schedule (wherever you are in the world!), we’d love for you to check it out!
